S.P.Y on The Drum & Bass Show!

One artist who seems to flow effortlessly between Drum & Bass subgenres and win over the ears and hearts of D&B ravers all over the world with his tunes is Brazilian producer and DJ, S.P.Y.
A favourite producer for both Micky and Lady V, they have been championing S.P.Y’s beats for the last year as everything that comes out of the S.P.Y HQ is pure gold. Whether he creates a hypnotic but thumping dirty tune like ‘Favela’ which is currently in every DJ’s record box, or delivering tunes like ‘Feel The Music’ which is like a ray of sunshine sparkling amongst sets, S.P.Y’s production is undoubtedly always on point.
Highlighting his ability to produce such eclectic beats, is his superb back catalogue of tunes from the last 4 years that have been released on a variety of labels such as CIA, Spearhead, Liquid V and Metalheadz, which all promote different sounds to the D&B scene. There are also the collaborations with artists such as Marky, Total Science and C.A.B.L.E as well as a list of big remixes….where SPY finds time to create this amount of good music and travel the world touring, is a mystery!
But don’t worry, as Micky and V will be finding this and a lot more when S.P.Y comes into the BANG studios for the Drum & Bass Show on Friday 30th July, 10pm-midnight. He’ll also be dropping a very special 30min mix, so make sure you don’t miss it…and Lady V has a very very special question to ask him. Will he say yes??

Yes people! We have returned! Fresh from our Innovation In The Sun trip where Micky and V were most definitely representing (don’t worry, we’ll bring you up to speed in case you missed out!) and we’re jumping straight back in, as this week we will be joined by Resistance Fammo on the big, bad BANG 103.6 Fm Drum and Bass Show!
Formerly known as Resistance Crew, the group comprise of Djs and MCs who treat Drum & Bass as a way of life (something every aspiring artist should) with Dj’s Choppah and Fatality and Mc’s Atomic Tempo, Little Joe and Wisper.
The Fammo have been around on the circuit for a hot minute, starting out in 2001 and since then going from strength to strength. They perform as regulars for raves including Def:inition, Sticky and Breakin Science, in addition to hosting arenas at Telepathy and the formerly mentioned, Sticky. But if up and coming artists are rated by their ability to work outside their social network, then Resistance are not lacking there either, having played out at venues from Portsmouth to Sheffield, and even abroad in locations such as Cyprus, Austria and Holland.
Having also run monthly nights at Herbal, Raduno and Life, now, further involvement in the promotion of bigger raves has taken precedent as demand for their services continue to grow.
Renowned for their strong work ethic and continued efforts to push the scene forward, Resistance Fammo are now recognised as rising stars to look out for in the future, with their versalitity setting them apart from the wealth of emerging artists.
Always keeping a close ear to the D&B scene, Micky Mafia and Lady V were keen to invite the crew back to find out what they’ve been up to since they were last at BANG HQ, and of course hype you about this weekend’s rave to be skanking at ‘Sticky @ Scala’…don’t worry, an obligatory guest mix will be included too - standard!
So make sure you lock on to this week’s Drum & Bass Show on Friday 2nd July with Micky Mafia and Lady V, from 10pm to midnight…THE start to your weekend rave!

It’s been a hot minute since Krafty last graced the Bang Studios for a catch up and guest performance, and once again we’re looking forward to touching base with one of the scene’s most promising artists.
Krafty Mc burst on to the Drum and Bass scene in 1999 signing to Maximum Boost under DJ Swan-E, and in a short space of time had developed a reputation as a crowd pleaser with his unique style and flow.
It didn’t take long for Krafty to earn himself residencies with some of the UK’s biggest promoters including Dreamscape, Raveology, Raindance and the ‘Bang affiliated’ Innovation. Ever proving himself, Krafty won the 2007 ‘Next Generation’ mc competition hosted by Raveology, and has since pushed himself to the limit performing alongside high profile artists up and down the country and abroad, with the intention of being ‘one of those artists’ on everybody’s lips.
Now as you all know, the months of May and (the first half of) June have been dedicated to ‘Innovation in the Sun’, a week-long event in Lloret de Mar in which promises to be an absolute thriller. This Friday will be the last show before we head out to Spain for the event which of course will also be frequented by Krafty himself.
So get ready for what promises to be a musical, lyrical firework display: we will be interviewing Krafty before his back to back set with Micky Mafia with plenty of laughs along the way as we aim to get you all warmed up for the biggest party of the year.
So make sure you lock on to this week’s Drum & Bass Show on Friday 18th June, 10pm – midnight…THE start to your weekend rave!

WIN tickets to Swerve Allnighter!

Woah, big D&B show coming up this Friday 11th June…not only will Lady V have a chat with Zero T and Micky Mafia drop another big big Jump-Up mix, but we also have tickets to Swerve Allnighter to give away!
If you’re in London on a Wednesday night and looking for a mid-week rave, then the place to be is Fabio’s Swerve; ‘the place where liquid fink was born and raised!’
Now finding a new home at Cable and settling in very nicely, the We Fear Silence crew thought it best to also give those non-mid-week ravers a chance to savour what Swerve is all about and so Swerve Allnighter is taking place on Saturday 19th June.
Resident Fabio will be joined by friends and regular players of Swerve parties; Grooverider, Bailey, Calibre, Chris Intaface and Tendai - so it’ll be like a Wednesday night Swerve but go on for longer and with no work the following day (for most of us!)….which we like! Make sure you bag yourself a ticket and get down there!
Micky Mafia and Lady V have 2 guestlist to give away for the first Swerve Allnighter at Cable, so if you want to get your hands on them, make sure you don’t miss The Drum & Bass Show, this Friday 11th June, 10pm to midnight!
