Hi, my name is DJ Jarren C and I’m from North West London.

Music has always been my passion, since I was a young boy. I think I got this from my Mum & Dad.

They always played music around the house - Reggae, Jazz and Soul Classics! My Jamaican heritage has played a big part in my love of music, with Sound Systems being at the forefront.

The foundation of Hip Hop came from the Sound System and the DJ! My musical taste far outstrips the boundaries of the reggae genre. I love all types of music from House, Electro, Drum n Bass, Classic Soul, Disco, Hip Hop, R&B, Latin, Motown, Jazz and Classical…even some cheese!! The list really is endless.

My musical journey started in early 2000, when a friend of mine asked me if I’d like to come on his DJ tour. You might know him he’s the TV Presenter and DJ Trevor Nelson. I had always been a bedroom DJ since my teens but didn’t consider myself a “DJ” in the professional term. Even though I did spin for a few friends’ house parties.Anyway, towards the end of the tour Trevor let me warm up with the early set at a couple of clubs. I haven’t looked back since. I took that opportunity and ran with it!

Eight years later and I have carved out a career as a respected International DJ, playing all over the world for and alongside celebrities, DJs and artists like Usher, 50 Cent, Prince, Madonna, DJ Premier, Mark Ronson and DJ Whoo Kid.

When in London I DJ in the West End at a variety of clubs - Movida, Cavendish No.5, Maya, and Embassy.

I am the official International DJ for Kelly Rowland (Destiny’s Child) and have been touring with her all over the world for the last two years. I have touched down in some of the most amazing places around the globe performing at shows, music festivals and on TV.

The latest chapter of my journey brings me back home to London and to Bang 103.6  Each Monday and  Wednesdays. I will be bringing you three hours of the best in UK and international Hip Hop, R&B, Funky House and some great old school classics.

As well as some great music, I’ll be hitting you up with all the latest Entertainment News, Celebrity and artist gossip, movie reviews and events throughout the UK!
