This week on Subject:Blu the chat show, following an article previously published in the Daily Mail, Sherryl Blu and Henri will be discussing whether school pupils are dressing appropriately for school.
Is it right for a Headmaster to ban female pupils from wearing tight school trousers?
Is it acceptable to wear a school skirt that only reaches the thigh?
Equally, are caps and trainers too casual for school?
Should school boys be required to wear sensible school shoes and caps issued by the school?
Also, during the show, we will be discussing what is right and what is wrong with the way we dress.
Is the media responsible for our ideas on what looks good?
What about fashion trends…are they for every shape and every size? Who decides?
Join the discussion and get involved this Monday from 6pm right here on Bang103.6FM

LISTEN AGAIN - Internet dating and communication in the digital age on Subject: Blus - Monday 9th August
August 9, 2010 by Cassandra

In this so called ‘digital age’, we are spoilt for choice when it comes to means of communication. But have we lost the ‘human’ touch?
It would seem that many of the basic ways of human interaction have been lost over time. A stranger striking up conversation or a simple ‘good morning’ from a neighbour can feel like an alien concept to some, and in a world where romantic love letters have been replaced by emails and ’sexts’ is it any wonder?
Social etiquette has been lost; Once considered rude to use a mobile phone whilst out to dinner, it is now the norm to tweet from start to finish…
Everything about today’s society is about making things happen in an instant. The art of ‘courtship’ takes time that people don’t have any more, so it was only a matter of time before even dating became facilitated by the world wide web. If you can potentially avoid wasting time on one more ‘bad date’ by ticking boxes, why not?

LISTEN AGAIN - Sherryl Blu discusses Cosmetic Surgery, Monday 26th July at 6pm
July 25, 2010 by Sherryl Blu
Filed under Don't Miss, Features, Listen Again, Sherryl Blu
Over the past few weeks, there has been a steady flow of TV programmes
focusing on Cosmetic Surgery and the effects ranging from phony surgeons
misleading vulnerable patients through to successful results.
Most magazines these days, frequently inundate us with celebrities constantly altering their image in an attempt to reach perfection (or the media ideals of perfection at least)!
From Katie Price’s obsession with wrinkles through to Heidi Montag’s quest to have the best body in Hollywood, cosmetic surgery is now seen as the ‘norm’.
There are an increasing number of people opting to have cosmetic surgery and as a result, more horrific and disturbing stories are beginning to surface!
So what is driving people to go under the knife?
Why are people so willing to risk their lives in a bid to look good?
This week on Subject:Blu, we will be looking at Cosmetic Surgery, the ups and the downs, the good, the bad and the ugly!
Feel free to get involved and share your opinions and views during the show in the usual ways.

‘No one chooses to raise children alone’ - soul singer Erykah Badu
Rewind a few years and the above statement could be deemed true but as recent studies show us, British women (and women across the world) are opting to have babies later on in life - alone!
The study also found, the likelihood of marriage is a lot less too!
So what’s the story?
A lot more women want to focus on their careers and build comfortable lives rather than get married at a young age and have children.
As a result, time moves on and so does the biological clock.
When that woman does decides that she wants to have children, she takes control of the situation and will (in some cases) use any means necessary to get what is required whether that means artificial insemination or using a man for his sperm.
The same mentality of going for what you want without any care seems to be prevalent in younger women too.
Studies have shown women of today, tend to have children with more than one father and regularly engage in sexual activity with a variety of partners.
Is this new mentality a result of endless amounts of TV shows ie Sex and the City or the growing confidence in women to feel sexually liberated?
Join me, this Monday from 6pm where we will discuss….
Feel free to get involved and share your views during the show.
