Are you aged between 15–24 and living in Brent?

Chlamydia is the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI) in Brent and the UK.

What is Chlamydia?

Most men and women with Chlamydia have no symptoms and do not know they have it.

It is easily passed to your sexual partners

Why get tested?

1 in 10 young people who are tested for Chlamydia have this infection.

If Chlamydia is left untreated it can lead to serious health problems, such as not being able to have children.

The good news is that it is easily treated with antibiotics.

How:

The test for Chlamydia is painless, quick and easy. All you need to do is pee in a pot. Testing and treatment for Chlamydia is free and confidential. You can get your result by text message.

Who:

All young people aged 15-24 who are having or have had sex should be tested at least once each year. You should have additional tests if you change your sexual partner within this time.

Where:

You can get a test at your GP practice or a family planning clinic or ask for a free kit from selected local pharmacies. Further details can be found at www.nhs.uk. For the LOVE of our children has parenting gone out of the window? Over-indulgence, according to Dr. Phil, is one of the most insidious forms of child abuse. You need not buy them material goods in order to create a bond. Instead of tangible gifts, how about spending some time together? Are you providing for your children emotionally and spiritually? Be careful that you are not teaching them that emotions can be healed by a trip to the mall or Mcdonalds.

Your primary job as a parent is to prepare your child for how the world really works and in the real world, you don’t always get what you want. So, If your parent/child relationship is based on material goods, your child won’t have the chance to experience unconditional love.
